On May 10, 2019 the U.S. increased tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods. The tariffs - paid by consumers and companies, not China, increased from 10% to 25%. As a result of this hike, big box companies like Costco and Walmart recently announced plans to raise prices because of the trade wars.

Our continued commitment to provide the best cost and value to customers means everyday pricing for catalog and website items will not change. In fact, the tariff will have no impact on a majority of our inventory, including slatwall, pegboard, wood shelving, jewelry displays, bags and hangers just to name a few.

Unfortunately, there are several categories that will be affected by the tariff increase and we are doing everything we can to minimize this additional expense. Therefore, starting on June 17th, our customers will only see a 15% surcharge on affected import items, compared to competitors who are charging more, if not all of the 25% increase. You will also notice our invoices list the surcharge separately, not built into the item cost, so they can be removed immediately when the tariffs are stopped.

We value our customer relationships and we want to assure you that we are following this issue closely. KC Store Fixtures is working with a coalition to petition our government to drop this tariff. Click here to view government press releases concerning the recent tariff increase.

Thank you for your cooperation as we all navigate these changes to the economy, and do not hesitate to call 1-800-862-0899 or email if you have any questions.

News sources have been reporting about new tariffs imposed by our government against China; unfortunately KC Store Fixtures will be affected by this change. On September 24, 2018, tariffs were initiated at 10% for certain items sourced in China. Starting January 1, 2019, the tariff will increase to 25 percent. Since we manufacture our own showcases, h-units, and other wood displays – our prices for those categories will remain at the current low prices. A majority of our catalog will NOT be affected by the tariff, including, slatwall, pegboard, wood shelving, jewelry displays, bags and hangers just to name a few. Unfortunately, there are several categories that will require a surcharge be added to orders containing affected import items.

We value our customer relationships and we want to assure you that we are following this issue closely. KC Store Fixtures is working with a coalition petitioning our government to drop this tariff. When the tariff is stopped, we will end the surcharges on affected items immediately.

How does this affect you?

- Orders placed on in stock items prior to October 10th will not be affected
- Orders placed October 10th – December 31st, 2018, will have a 10% surcharge added to affected items that are in stock
- Orders placed January 1st, 2019 and forward will have a 25% surcharge added on affected items until the tariff is removed or otherwise changed.

Orders placed before October 10th will avoid tariff surcharges on in stock items only. We are unable to offer rain checks or place special orders for items that are not currently in our inventory.
